Auberge reine de sicile

Quaint restaurant in a quiet area. Good service and small but good menu. We loved everything about our meal and would recommend it.

What a surprise this was. In an area in the city of Saumur where you do expect to have such a lovely and good restaurant. All reviews are true. Very good (perfect) food and wine for an honest price. Foie gras, a must eat.

A lovely warm evening, a very pleasant outside terrace. Not the biggest menu but plenty of choices to suit most pallets. The service was good, food was freshly cooked, presented well and tasted great! Nice wine list including local wines and other wines from around France.

The 6 of us were doing a wine trip in the Loire. We made reservations in this cosy establishment and we were not disappointed. Nice atmosphere, good value for money 3-course menu and excellent wine recommendations. The soup d’homard was very good and nicely served in a crabshell. Excellent mi-cuit foie with sweet Chenin blanc and tasty steak. Recommendable.

Delightful dinner service! A little off the beaten path, but not in the middle of nowhere, this charming restaurant made our visit to Saumur very memorable!
